Additional postal services

We appreciate how desperate you can be to repair your oven when the glass suddenly falls out or the seal breaks and so always post orders received by 4.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) the same day. If you are local you can also collect from us, at our home in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN7 (please telephone us 0800 410 1222 to make arrangements if you wish to collect). We are 8 minutes from J25 of the M25.

As well as the normal 1st class post within the UK (which as we approach Christmas may well take longer than the next day that Royal Mail are targetted with), we have offered both Evri Postable and Royal Mail Special Delivery – these services are at extra cost and can be selected, when available for your postcode, in the cart.

Restrictions and details of the additional services are explained below:

Evri Postable

This service is offered through Evri, formally Hermes. It is only available within the UK mainland and some distant locations are excluded, so the option will only appear in the cart if your postcode is one that offers the service.

The package is sent using the Evri “Next Day” service, and we take packages to the Evri Postal shop at 10.30am each working day for their collection by Evri (normally around midday), however, this is not a guaranteed “next day” and delivery within 2 days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, though Evri often also deliver on these days) is more likely at this time. Your package will be trackable and no signature is needed as the item will be put through your letterbox, so you will not need to be at home to receive the package. Please be aware that the delivery time frame is not guaranteed. It should be expected that delays may occur at this time of year. During periods of Royal Mail Post backlogs, it may well be more reliable than 1st class post.

Royal Mail Special Delivery

This service offered by Royal Mail is, in normal times a next-day guaranteed delivery by 1.00 pm (subject to some location adjustments – see below). However, Royal Mail will remove the Guarantee during any period of strike action. That said, they will prioritise these items for delivery, both on strike days and non-striking days, and so should be far faster than 1st class post as well as faster than Evri Postable. Please note, however, you will need 24 hours for the glue in your repair to cure before using the oven.

The Next Working Day excludes weekends and items received by 3.30 pm Monday To Friday will be posted the same day.

Royal Mail Special Delivery is a tracked service, though tracking may only show when delivered.

Importantly, a person (over 18) will need to be at home to receive the package as it will not be left or put through a letterbox.

Subject to all of the above, unless noted below, delivery should take place by 1.00 pm

The following Highland, Island and distant areas are always excluded from the Next working day 1.00pm guarantee, and the following applies in normal times outside of periods that include strike action:
