When the inner glass came loose from my oven door I thought I would have to buy a new oven as I couldn’t see how to remove the door to repair it. After some great advice from this company I got the door off easily and used the glue kit to repair it. This high temperature oven door adhesive & repair kit was exactly what I had been looking for to repair the seal on my oven door which had come away. You need to ensure that the seal and door are thoroughly clean and give it time to cure. Also if the seal is under tension, it will need fixing whilst the adhesive is drying.
It worked perfectly and has been a solid seal for many months now – thoroughly recommended. |

ovendoorglue: Whilst it is possible, with the aid of a dent puller / glass sucker to refit the inner glass with the door still attached to the oven, it is not the easiest way to do so if the glass has fallen or is flapping into the oven door. Unless you are fortunate enough to have an oven where the glass simply sits on the inner part of the door when it is open (most ovens are glazed from within the door panel) we recommend that the oven door is removed and the front fascia taken off where possible to allow proper cleaning of the area to be glued, and so that the glass can sit horizontal on a table whilst curing. We provide advice on how the door can be removed from most ovens, and how the fascia panel can then be removed on the Advice page. The page also gives guidance on the quantity of adhesive needed where gluing around the perimeter of the panel. |

| ovendoorglue: Please note that whilst the kit was primarily intended for gluing the brackets onto the glass – brackets typically glue to the glass then screw to the oven door to hold the glass in place on many ovens, we have noted that many customers are using the high strength adhesive to glue the glass directly to the door where this is the original method of fixing. The high temperature adhesive is perfectly suited to this task but the quantity supplied in a single tube may be insufficient for larger pieces of glass, we suggest larger than 1200mm circumference, (or if there is a recess to be filled). We have provided further guidance for when gluing around the full perimeter of the glass in the advice page advice page, and have now added the option of purchasing an extra tube of adhesive at the same time as the kit for only £3.00 (use the drop down box on the item page to make your selection). You are welcome to purchase the extra tube on a use 2nd tube or return within 14 days for £3.00 refund basis. That way we can help you be sure to get the job done, without the risk of unnecessary cost. With regards to supporting the glass, it is best to remove the oven door to carry out the repair – We have prepared a video that shows how to Remove and refit the Oven Door for most ovens. |
