It works! It really works. I had the same problem as you all have 🙂 One day, internal glass just fell off. I found a replacement, but for the price I would just buy another oven. Started to google and found this website! Bought it, read instruction and now I am continue to use my old oven 🙂 It is very easy to use. Remove lid, make surface clean, use some small sandpaper, apply glue, align your glass. Wait 24h and put it back 🙂 |

I definitely think it’s one of those jobs where the more preparation you do, the better it will turn out, na sit was really helpful to be ale to find instructions on how to take the door completely off. I would definitely advise this as you really want to make sure both the glass and frame are squeaky clean before applying the glue and letting it cure for 24 hours flat. Problem solved! Glass on inside of the oven came off. I followed the instructions that came with the product with particular care regarding cleaning surfaces to be glued. I didn’t take the door off the oven improvising with a wet plunger tied to the oven hood to keep sufficient pressure applied to the glass. (Probably not text book way to approach the job but it worked for me!) That was about six months ago and the problem seems to be fixed as the oven is used almost daily as my expanding waste can testify. I would highly highly recommend the product and delivery / payment service without any reservation. |

Used 2 tubes of glue and just had enough as the groove around the opening was quite deep so third tube recommended. Repair done 3 months ago and no problems since. Important to fully clean the glass surface being glued and remove all grease from both surfaces to get good strong bond. Recommended product and excellent service provided. |
Oven Door Glue Rating : |
ovendoorglue:For the outer glass, only a single tube is generally needed to reattach the glass to the brackets. The inner glass on most ovens is glued around the full perimeter. Some Ariston oven models do have quite a deep channel that needs to be filled, though as in this case, the kit with the extra tube of adhesive should be sufficient. It is always best to measure the perimeter of the glass (or the aperture if you have not yet taken the door apart), using the measurement, advice on quantity needed can be found at Gluing around the perimeter of the panel. Where an extra tube of adhesive is required, this can be added to the kit at the time of purchase using the drop down selection box, just above the “Add to Cart” buttons on the product pages at a cost of just £3.00. Furthermore, should you later find you did not need the extra tube, you can return it to us, unused, within 14 days of receipt, for a refund of the £3.00. In that way, we can help you ensure you have what you need to complete the task at minimal cost. |

Ariston door has a metal bead of about 3mm. around the opening so I used 3 tubes of glue to ensure a good 4mm. bead of glue around the opening to ensure a continuous bond. The job was relatively easy, the only difficulty was in separating the inner and outer parts if the door which took a bit of brute force. The instructions for the adhesive recommended removing all old sealant. This I did but it meant that there was only a small rim of the oven door where the adhesive could be spread. I had grave doubts that this small area of adhesive would fasten the glass sufficiently but after 6 months it is still holding. Personally I would have left the old sealant on and spread the adhesive over a larger area. |
Oven Door Glue Rating : |
ovendoorglue: We would recommend removing the old adhesive. If the old adhesive has already failed on one surface, or in one area, the adhesion may not be that good in other areas – simply gluing on top of the old adhesive may not result in a long lasting repair if the old adhesive fails. It’s a bit like putting wallpaper over existing wallpaper that is coming away from the wall, The new wallpaper may stick well to the old – but the old can still come away from the wall! If you are gluing around the full perimeter of the glass (usually the inner glass) an extra tube of adhesive may be required depending on the size of the piece of glass. Advice on quantity for when gluing around the full perimeter can be found at Gluing around the perimeter of the panel. We bought the kit and spare glue but didn’t use it for nearly four months. The first tube of glue didn’t work but I think that was because we waited too long to use it. The scraper was fantastic. The glue didn’t go off immediately on the door and we held it in place for over 24 hours. However it is now stuck in and working well. We are very pleased with the solution for the money. |
Oven Door Glue Rating : |
ovendoorglue: In formulating the kit for the DIY repair of ovens we have balanced the quality of adhesive with shelf life of unused adhesive. As the adhesive is normally purchased for a specific and immediate need, we have aimed for the highest quality of adhesive for the intended task. This does mean the shelf life of the unused adhesive in the tube is shortened, but it will provide a better and longer lasting repair provided it is used within 3 months of purchase. Beyond this time, there is a possibility that the adhesive will not cure properly. All adhesive is freshly packaged (within 7 days of dispatch) when it leaves us, to ensure customers have as long as possible to carry out the repair, and we have added a bold note in red at the top of the instruction sheet recommending use within 90 days. |

I ordered the glue back in October 2011 to repair the inner glass on our oven which suddenly dropped out one day!! It’s been 4 months now and is still working a treat. After reading previous reviews I ordered 2 tubes and I would recommend you do the same if you are wanting it for an over door. I am very happy with the end result. |
Oven Door Glue Rating : |
ovendoorglue: Please note that whilst the kit was primarily intended for gluing the brackets onto the glass – brackets typically glue to the glass then screw to the oven door to hold the glass in place on many ovens, we have noted that many customers are using the high strength adhesive to glue the glass directly to the door where this is the original method of fixing. The high temperature adhesive is perfectly suited to this task but the quantity supplied in a single tube may be insufficient for larger pieces of glass, we suggest larger than 1200mm circumference, (or if there is a recess to be filled). We have provided further guidance for when gluing around the full perimeter of the glass in the advice page advice page, and have now added the option of purchasing an extra tube of adhesive at the same time as the kit for only £3.00 (use the drop down box on the item page to make your selection). You are welcome to purchase the extra tube on a use 2nd tube or return within 14 days for £3.00 refund basis. That way we can help you be sure to get the job done, without the risk of unnecessary cost. With regards to supporting the glass, it is best to remove the oven door to carry out the repair – We have prepared a video that shows how to Remove and refit the Oven Door for most ovens. |

I bought the Oven Door Glue in June this year to re-attach the inner door glass on our Ariston 7-chefs oven. Because the glass sits on a return flange, there was no flat area to glue to, so had to fill the recess with two tubes. It’s worked wonderfully and saved a right load of hassle trying to find a replacement door or even replacing it altogether. Well packed next day delivery too! |

The glue kit done exactly what it said. It stuck the oven glass to the frame which was hanging off when I moved into my new house. |

The glue kit was delivered quickly and was easy to use. The oven door is still holding up despite a broken hinge which is great as they do not make a replacement door for this oven any more. Good value for money |

Comprehensive kit with good instructions. Tip: Note original position of metal mountings on glass face and mark with pencil in order to reposition as accurately as possible. Approx 20 minutes after glueing carefully reassemble front glass panel into metal housing to confirm alignment of newly adhered brackets to glass before glue sets firmly. Leave to oven door to dry in a horizontal position overnight before refitting to oven housing. |

Great item – really did the job required well. Initially I thought the tube was going to be too small but it turned out there was plenty with more than half a tube left over. This really is strong stuff !! everything you need in the pack very well thought out – prompt delivery – highly recommended!! |

Fantastic product. Work as a dream. The oven inner glass door came out and the bottom metal from the outer glass. Fixed with the glue. Pls. make a note I just scrapped with two cartridges for the inner glass only. would be better if you use three cartridges as the glass go in the recess. |

Arrived quickly in the post. Has been in use for a week now, seems to have done the trick. Made sure the surfaces were clean and clamped in place for 24 hours to set, as per instructions. Everything you need is in the kit…very good |

Found preperation is the key to getting a good result. This glue is awesome, Ariston ovens seem to suffer from the outer glass falling off the door and it is only held on with two small pads which need a good adhesive. The adhesive was sent to me within 24 hours and I have to say this is fastest delivery I have had from a internet based firm ever. |
